Just a little longer and it's Valentine's Day again! How will you surprise your valentine this year? YourSurprise has listed the nicest valentine activities for you!

Valentine activities

What can you all do on Valentine's Day? Every year, this question comes up a few weeks (or months) before February 14. Ideally, you want to come up with an original Valentine's Day activity, because it's about the most important person in your life. But that is quite difficult and the bar is high.

YourSurprise therefore gives you a helping hand! Would you like to get creative for your valentine? Then throw yourself into one of the following valentine's activities. By organising it all by yourself for your (secret) love, you will certainly score points.

1. Organise a wine tasting

Become a wine connoisseur

Do you have the time to prepare your valentine's activity? And does your valentine like a glass of wine? Then step into the shoes of a sommelier and organise a wine tasting for your sweetheart. Read up and choose the wines you want to have tasted. Prepare a nice chat for each tasting session. That way, you will be prepared for the big day.

A fun idea: order wines with a homemade label that you design especially for the evening. This will make the wine tasting extra special and personal!

2. Plot a scavenger hunt

Let your sweetheart look for hints

If you really want to unpack and take plenty of time to organise your ultimate date, create a scavenger hunt for your great love. Hang the scavenger hunt on a theme, for example your love, and visit all the places that play a role in your love story. How exactly you do this is up to you, there are plenty of options. But keep it personal, that's what makes the treasure hunt the most fun. It is of course interesting to know, for example, how old a certain church is, but it is much more fun to ask where you kissed each other for the first time at the church.

The hints for the treasure hunt can be printed on a magic mug. These hints will then only appear when a hot drink (which you happen to have with you) is poured into the magic mug.

3. Put together a puzzle

The missing puzzle piece

Do you prefer to stay at home on Valentine's Day, but want to do an activity? Then make a puzzle together. It may sound a bit boring, but a puzzle with hundreds of pieces will soon keep you busy for quite some time. You can also test how your sweetheart tackles such a challenge. Especially interesting if you haven't known each other for very long!

Does he or she proceed systematically or does it become one big chaos? Do you complement each other as a team or do you have opposite approaches? Puzzling gives insight! Before you know it, the pieces of the puzzle will fall together. Extra fun: order a personalised puzzle with your best photo and a sweet message for your valentine.

4. Watch a romantic comedy

Swoon away together

A bit cliché, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with that on Valentine's Day. Watching a romantic comedy together on the couch is just lovely. Make the house cosy with candles and dim the lights. Maybe you can pick up a projector somewhere for the real bisocoop feeling. Will it be Love Actually, Crazy Stupid Love or rather the classic genre with Pretty Woman or The Notebook?

Once everything is ready, all you have to do is arrange the snacks, which obviously should not be missing during the perfect movie night. Have chocolate chocolates made with your photo to give your sweetheart an extra surprise.

5. Cook up a storm

The way to their heart is through their stomach

Want to really surprise your valentine this year? Then go into the kitchen for him or her and prepare a valentine's dinner. Put together a nice menu in advance with your loved one's favourite dishes. Set the table beautifully and light candles for an extra touch of romance. Even if the food might not be quite perfect, it doesn't matter. Either way, your valentine will be impressed by the effort you've made.

You complete your dinner with personalised wine glasses. With glasses with your initials on them, you toast your love the best.
